Reproduction of a statue representing the Archangel Michael fighting against the devil. In the angelic hierarchy Michael is one of the three main Archangels, together with Gabriel and Raphael, and is usually represented defeating Satan with a spear or sword, who in iconography sometimes appears in the form of a dragon. St. Michael is also the one who will weigh the souls in the scales at the Last Judgement.
