Sèvres-style porcelain figures. The girl is seated, with a basket of flowers in her hand and a garland at the bottom of her dress. Beside her, a handsome gallant is leaning towards her. It is the two doves joining their beaks that provide the theme of the figurine. The subject matter, the high quality of the enamelling and the colours used, and the finesse of the gestures and forms are clearly influenced by the antique porcelain of the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres (France).
