Reproduction of an architectural wooden model of a classic obelisk from the Grand Tour period. Made with great quality with aged wood.

Measurements: Sides: 7 x 7 cm. Height: 40 cm.

The wooden models of domes, staircases, façades, etc., were created in order to offer clients a three-dimensional view of the architectural projects commissioned. Some of these models by the sculptor Michelangelo were found in the Vatican renovation works.

These valuable ornamental objects were highly prized in the 19th century, being decorative objects commonly found in libraries, studios and cabinets.
