“Flaming June” relief, inspired by the painting by F. Leighton. Following the Neoclassical and historicist style, this colorful painting makes use of the red palette to evoke the warmth of summer.
The works of British painter Frederic Leighton (1830-1896) reveal a precise style that gives his painted human figures the coldness of marble. Leighton had a static devotion to Greco-Roman classical art, often portraying models nude or draped in peplos and tunics.
