Description

High quality reproduction made of reconstituted marble (marble powder and chronolite). Aging patinas with natural earths, to give the piece an antique look.

Height: 25 cm

Diogenes of Sinope (412 – 323 BC), also called Diogenes the Cynic, led a life of austerity and mortification. Regarded as one of the most prominent philosophers of the cynical school. The cynics, taking as models to nature and animals, proposed a model of ethical behavior that they considered fundamental to achieve happiness.

Tradition has attributed boldness and independence to the powerful and disdain for norms of social conduct. He despised the men of letters and the speakers who, in his opinion, were studying how to enforce the truth, but not how to practice it.
