Iberian art developed on the Iberian Peninsula in the area of influence of the Iberian peoples, who inhabited the areas of the Levant and the South, in the first millennium BC until Romanisation. They were influenced by other Mediterranean peoples who settled on the peninsula, such as the Phoenicians, Greeks and Carthaginians, as well as by the Celts from northern Europe. Iberian ladies are one of the most characteristic manifestations of Iberian art, female figures with tunics, high headdresses and elaborate jewellery.
