Relief inspired by a 15th century medieval layer detail. The layer (French, tapis) is a piece of fabric traditionally made hand producing figures similar to a table using threads of color. In this image (of the most celebrated, Musée Cluny) highlights the Unicorn, legendary creature represented usually as a white horse, with legs of antelope, goat beard, and a horn on its forehead. Its symbolic connotations are of purity.
