Amenenhet III (18th c. BC), whose name means “Man of Valour”, was the most warrior of the kings of the 12th dynasty. After stopping the first waves of Asian invaders, it widened the borders of Egypt, fought in Asia, rejected the Libyans and subdued the Nubians.
The original figure is located in the Louvre Museum.
