The Venus of Esquilino is a Roman copy from the 1st century AD based on a Greek original from the 1st century BC. The original sculpture was found in the Gardens of Lamianus (one of the imperial gardens, a source of archaeological finds of classical sculptures) located on the Esquiline Hill, from which it takes its name. After its discovery, it became part of the collection of the Capitoline Museums.
