Reproduction of a fragment of the Venus of Arles patinated in bronze. Sculpture made of molded marble (marble powder agglomerated with resins), finished with aged bronze imitation patinas.

Ideal sculpture for interior decoration (living rooms, lobbies, offices, and libraries). Not suitable for outdoors.

Venus of Arles patinated in bronze, reproduction based on the Venus of Arles, the original piece is a sculpture 1.94 m high, preserved in the Louvre Museum. It dates from the late 1st century BCE. It may be a copy of Praxiteles’ Aphrodite of Thespiae from the 2nd century CE.

The goddess Venus, known as Aphrodite in Greek mythology, personifies love, beauty, and fertility. Born from the sea foam, her mythical origin highlights her connection to creation and life. Aphrodite had lovers among gods such as Ares, the god of war, and mortals such as Adonis, for whose death she descended to Hades, contending for his company with Persephone, the queen of the underworld.
