Description
A figure of the Fyodor Tower made of biscuit porcelain, also known as white-paste porcelain. This type of porcelain became widespread in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Soft-paste porcelain is fired at a lower temperature than hard-paste porcelain. The body of soft-paste porcelain is more porous than that of hard-paste porcelain, so the degree of vitrification during firing is lower.
