Set of decorative base and reproduction of the sculpture of Dyskophorus by Polyclitus in reconstituted marble (marble powder with binder). Aging patinas with natural earth.

The sculpture shown here is a recreation of the Diskophoros (meaning disc bearer) by the famous Greek sculptor Polyclitus, which is in the British Museum. The sculpture depicts a discus thrower in a state of repose. The head appears slightly small, as does the original, with the broad back and legs standing out.
