The Winged Victory of Samothrace, a marble sculpture created in Greece between the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC. It was found in multiple fragments and had to be carefully reconstructed.
The Nike of Samothrace is a Hellenistic sculpture dating to around 190 BC. It is currently housed in the Louvre Museum, Paris. Originating from the Sanctuary of the Cabeiri, it was discovered in 1863 on the island of Samothrace (Samothraki in Greek) by the French consul Charles Champoiseau, an amateur archaeologist. Some experts attribute it, with some probability, to the sculptor Pythokritos of Rhodes.
Decorating with sculptures from classical antiquity brings a special touch to our home, enriching both interior and exterior spaces.
