Measurements: Height: 47 cm. Width: 31,5 cm. Depth: 1 cm.
Reproduction of a crucified Christ in Romanesque style. Jesus Christ appears accompanied by two figures on each side of the cross, at each end of the crossbeams of the cross is one of the tetramorphs or symbolic animals of the evangelists: the lion of Saint Mark at the top, the angel of Saint Matthew on the left, the eagle of Saint John on the right and the bull of Saint Luke on the bottom. Two birds are placed on either side of the head of Christ.
The Romanesque style (11th to mid-12th century) is characterised by its hieratism and rigidity; the figures are schematic and abstract, far removed from naturalism and realism; the faces are inexpressive and do not reflect emotions.
