Description
Reproduction of bas-relief in moulded alabaster. Oil polychrome. Antique patina. Wooden frame decorated with silver leaf.
We present another fascinating piece on the work of Tamara de Lempicka (1898-1980), a painter whose paintings of fascinating women reflected the new emerging society. The uniqueness of her portraits and nudes was defined between Neoclassicism and Cubism. Stylised, seductive forms that worship the feminine. Pieces framed in solid structures, drawn halfway between the abstract and the palpable. Very exclusive work, brimming with unrestrained eroticism, rendered with impeccable technique. The artist enhances the volumes in a play of light and darkness in which the sensual curves contrast with the flat urban backgrounds.
