Description
Reproduction of a high quality relief of a mask of Hygeia made in reconstituted marble (marble powder with resin).
It is finished with a lightly aged natural earth, which gives the statue a singular beauty and texture very similar to an antique piece.

Head of Hygieia 360 BC. National Museum of Athens (Greece). Attributed to Scopas of Paros, its value is inestimable, as together with the statue of Asclepius, they are the only originals recovered from the entire sculptural production of its author.
Hygieia, or Hygieia, is the daughter of Asclepius, god of medicine and mysteries. In antiquity, this goddess symbolised health and hygiene, appearing in the Hippocratic oath as a witness to the doctor’s commitment.
