Description
Reproduction of a lost-wax bronze figure.
The original is in the Musée du Patrimoine Ancien d’Arles.
Reproduction of an ex-voto, an offering to the gods for the healing of a part of the body. It depicts a raised right hand, slashed at the wrist and adorned with an oval pearl bracelet. Between the thumb and forefinger there is an oval element, undoubtedly representing a diseased organ. The fingers of the hand are long and the folds are well defined. It was found in 1987 in Brossolette and dates to the end of the 3rd century AD.
