Description
Reproduction of a figure of Roman origin made in lost wax bronze.
Measurements: 12 x 6 x 6,5 cm.
Reproduction of a Roman lucerne. The original is in the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona.
This lucerna was found together with a candelabrum in Fortuny Street in Tarragona. The piece is in the shape of an African head with three openings. The upper opening in the head was used to pour the oil, the opening in the mouth is used for the wick, and the opening at the bottom is probably used to place the piece in the candelabrum.
