Reproduction of a piece of Roman origin, Roman key of Segóbriga. The original is in the Museum of Segóbriga (Saelices, Cuenca).
This piece was found in the excavation of the circus of the Roman city of Segóbriga. Piece marked with an R certifying the reproduction. In the Roman period the door lock was often used. The blacksmith, Ferrarius or Faber Aciarius, was the craftsman who made the key. The key is accompanied by a diagram of a Roman door lock.
