The Ankh, cross or magic knot, called ‘the living’, symbol of Life and vitality, very often used in Egyptian iconography. This cross with a handle is the symbol of millions of years of future life, its circle is the perfect image of that which has no beginning and no end. The gods and kings, and almost always Isis, hold it in their hands to indicate that they are immortal. The deceased hold it in their hands at the time of psychostasis (transit of the soul), or on the solar boat, to indicate that they implore the gods for this immortality.
The Djet or pillar of stability can be seen in this piece, as well as the Was staff to illuminate the path of life.
