Egyptian instrumentalists. In this representation of a painting located in the tomb-burial chapel of Nakht, we see a Pied Piper, a harpist and a young woman playing the Norva. This last instrument was made with a tortoise shell covered with strained gazelle skin, perforated with six holes that gave the resonance, it is assumed that the sound obtained was similar to that of our current banjo. The three instrumentalists are lightly dressed in transparent clothes and veils. They carry on the head, small cones of incense that was consumed during the day, in order to perfume their body and their hair.
