Bust of the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet.

In Egypt, Sekhmet is the goddess of war. She represents the will and the strength of the soul. She also symbolises destiny, understood as the application of the law of cause and effect, i.e. she executes the divine designs on Earth. Sekhmet is one of the aspects adopted by the Mother goddess Hathor, in this case as implacable Justice.
