Greek fighters Bas-relief. Relief depicting two young men fighting, from the base of a statue found in Kerameikos, Athens, dating back to around 510 BC. It is currently housed in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, Greece.

The original relief is one of the three sculpted sides of the base of a statue. The three reliefs are: “Youths in the palaestra,” “Youths in the gymnasium,” and “Youths with a dog.”

Youths in the palaestra of Kerameikos. This piece is a reproduction of a stele of a statue, featuring a series of reliefs on its sides, depicting moments from a young man’s life. The original sculpture stands out for its remarkable marble work, especially in the representation of the fabrics. This side depicts a scene of combat, reminiscent of ceramic vase paintings from the 5th century BC.
