Description

Girl of the Braid, reproduction of a neoclassical-style sculpture made in molded marble (marble powder bonded with resins). The aging finish is achieved through the application of patinas based on natural earth, giving the statue an appearance and texture very similar to that of an ancient marble piece.

The original bust is preserved at the Statens Museum of Kunst in Denmark with the title “Tête de jeune fille.” It was carved in white marble between 1740 and 1744 by Jacques Saly at the French Academy in Rome.
