Finely polished and finished with the application of aging patinas made from natural earths, giving it the texture and appearance of a piece beautified by the passage of time. Patinated in black, with a stone base.

Molded marble replica of the Giovanni Zoffoli Vase, from the mid-18th century. This work by Zoffoli is a reproduction of the Borghese Vase, a monumental pentelic marble crater from the 1st century BC, decorated with scenes representing a thiasos, an ecstatic procession involving the god Dionysus, dressed in a panther skin and playing the aulos, along with his usual companions, satyrs, and maenads. The original ancient work was housed in the Villa Borghese and can now be found in the Louvre.
