Figure of Hercules patinated in bronze, a sculpture of singular beauty ideal for decoration or as a distinguished gift. The piece we offer enjoys a special elegance and delicacy, expressed in its lines.
In this figurine, Hercules is represented, one of the most famous characters in Greek mythology.
The Greek hero Heracles, called Hercules in Rome, is a demigod, son of Zeus-Jupiter and Alcmene, a mortal woman. His most well-known feats were the twelve labors, which were assigned to him by King Eurystheus as a penance after he killed his family in a fit of madness.
The labors consisted of tasks that were initially impossible to accomplish, which Hercules completed thanks to his legendary strength and cunning. These were: the Nemean lion, the Lernaean Hydra, the hind of Mount Ceryneia, the Erymanthian boar, the birds of the Stymphalian marsh, the Augean stables, the Cretan bull, the mares of Diomedes, the girdle of Hippolyta, the cattle of Geryon, the apples of the Hesperides, and finally, to bring Cerberus, the guardian dog of the gates of the underworld, before Eurystheus.
