Pegasus is the mythical winged horse that was born from the mixture of Medusa’s blood and sea water when the hero Perseus cut off his head.
His indomitable character meant that few could ride him. It was the prince of Corinth, Bellerophon, who with the help of a golden bridle given to him by Athena managed to capture him.
The strength of a horse together with its broad wings have made it a symbol of freedom and imagination that can elevate us to the most sublime regions.
