In oriental art, various materials are used, such as bronze, jade and ceramics. The most spectacular and famous sculptures in the East are the Xian Warriors, more than 8,000 life-size statues of soldiers and horses that were discovered during the excavation of the tomb of the first emperor of China (3rd century BC). In addition to these monumental sculptures, there are depictions of anonymous people in everyday scenes, such as musicians and dancers.
