Reproduction of a figure of Roman origin made in lost wax bronze.
Measurements: Width: 19 cm. Depth: 4 cm. Height: 14 cm.
The original is in the Provincial Archaeological Museum of Badajoz.
A bronze figure of a horse richly decorated with ritual or cultural identification. The horse is standing in a walking position. Very pronounced mane with incisions, long, straight tail. The rider’s reins and various ornaments are well defined. Found in the excavation at Cancho Roano, (Zalamea de la Serena, Badajoz) in a room adjoining the main building where several objects left as offerings were found.
