Reproduction of a medieval knight on horseback, inspired by the Knights Templar, ideal as a decorative element and also as an original gift.
The Order of the Temple was founded around 1119 by nine French knights with the aim of protecting Christian pilgrims travelling to Jerusalem after its conquest in the First Crusade. They were constituted as an order of warrior monks and took as their badge the white mantle with a red cross. The Templars were persecuted and condemned by Pope Clement V, instigated by King Philip IV of France, until the order was dissolved in 1312.
