Fighters of Pergamon. This sculptural group, by an unknown author, belongs to the imperial Roman art of the 1st century. The original is preserved in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.

The Wrestlers Group, found in Rome at the end of the 16th century, depicts two pankratiasts (wrestlers) in the midst of a struggle. Although the sculpture was formerly attributed to some of the most important sculptors of the classical period, it is now considered that the group is a Roman pastiche from the imperial era, created from a Hellenistic bronze work. Studies on the sculpture have shown that none of the heads belong to the original group. In fact, their later addition aligns perfectly with the common Roman practice of assembling different sculptural pieces in a fragmentary state.
