Reproduction of a fibula of pre-Roman origin. The original is in the Museum of Zaragoza.
This bronze reproduction is inspired by a figure found in Los Castellares de Herrera de los Navarro in Zaragoza. The original dates from the early 2nd century BC and is on display in the Museum of Saragossa.
It is a fibula depicting a horse and rider, with a human head emerging from the horse’s chest. The hind leg rests on two balls. The horse is decorated with circles and cuts, astral symbols related to the ‘night sun’ and the sun’s rays.
It belongs to the group of fibulae from ‘La Tene’, the most widespread in the Celtiberian world.
