Reproduction of a bronze figure of a dancing faun. The original was found in Pompeii, in the House of the Faun, to which it gave its name. The original statuette is in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples, believed to be a Roman copy of a Hellenistic work. Fauns were divinities of nature and were associated with fertility and fecundity.
