The architects of the Italian Cinquecento codified a system of architecture, based on what they considered to be the classical canons of antiquity, which have survived over the centuries, enriched with the profuse ornamentation of the Baroque artists. With these architectural elements, some of these mirrors have been designed to fit in with both classical decoration and, because of their bold colours, with modern decoration.
