The work we reproduce is a creation inspired by the Greco-Roman mythology of the goddess Hestia, the Vesta Romana.
Hestia is the goddess of home and family. She is the firstborn of the titans Cronos and Rea and the sister of Zeus.
In Greco-Roman cults, she is responsible for protecting the family, promoting marital happiness, and maintaining harmony in houses and temples. Usually depicted as fire protection, a symbol of heat and light, the center of the family home, a symbol of the heart, and a reflection of the life-giving sunlight.
