Reproduction based on the fresco “The Prince of Lilies”.
It shows a figure of a young man, with a hieratic face, long hair, a headdress of lilies and feathers, and a necklace of lilies. It appears with the forehead torso and the rest of the profile, in Egyptian mode.
The original is a fresco on stucco by an unknown artist, measuring 1.20 m in height. It belongs to Minoan art, circa 15th century BC, from Crete.
The original fresco is currently in the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion. A reproduction is found in the Palace of Cnosós (Creta), where the fragments of the fresco were found.
