Reproduction of a bas-relief in moulded alabaster. Polychrome in oil and tempera with stephorated and silver plated. Antique patina.
Inspired by cardboard for the stained glass window of Saint-Martin’s Church in Brampton. This cardboard was made by the 19th century artist Edward Burne-Jones. A work in the Art Nouveau style. The scene shows a pelican feeding its young atop a stylised tree.
