Reproduction of a Roman figure of the goddess Fortuna. The original is in the National Archaeological Museum of Madrid (M.A.N.).
The goddess wears a diadem and a long tunic with a belt, under a velvet cloak which she raises with her right hand. The left hand holds a long horn of plenty, while the right hand would have held an oar. It was found in the province of Soria.
The goddess Fortuna was invoked in Ancient Rome in search of prosperity and good fortune.
