Reproduction of an ancient ceramic figure carrying the horn of plenty and pomegranates for luck.
The original figure represents the goddess Fortuna and dates from the 1st-2nd centuries AD. In mythology she is considered the goddess of luck and fate. She is standing and her attributes are a cornucopia, or horn of plenty, and pomegranates as a symbol of luck. Many temples in the Roman Empire were dedicated to the goddess Fortuna. The original piece was found in 1954 in the district of Birkenfeld (Germany) and is now in the Rheinischen Landesmuseum in Trier (Germany).
