Johannes Vermeer (1632 – 1675) is one of the most famous Dutch painters of the Baroque art. He specialized in interior scenes of the bourgeois domesticity. Vermeer stood out in the restitution of the light, of the texture, of the perspective and of the transparent colors. He cared of the harmony of colors. In his works you can feel the silence of the characters in some intimate moments of their lives.
