Canon of the proportions of man, by Leonardo da Vinci.
Reproduction of a sculpture inspired by Leonardo da Vinci‘s illustration of the so-called Canon of Vitruvius. The Vitruvian Man, or Study of the Ideal Proportions of the Human Body, is a drawing that Da Vinci made in 1490 following the architectural texts of the Roman Vitruvius (1st century BC). It depicts a figure of a man inserted in a square and a circle, the proportions of the drawn human body respond to an ideal harmonic canon based on the golden number.
