In the Tibetan calendar we find different symbols, being a very complex element of astrology and essential in the long Tibetan tradition.
Tibetan astrology is based on 5 elements (WATER, EARTH, FIRE, METAL, WOOD and TIME), which harmoniously influence the human being.
The Sun and the Moon are also fundamental factors in the Tibetan calendar. The largest star of the solar system is followed by the days and years while the natural satellite of our planet guides the months. A numerical method allows the dates to be identified by setting animals and natures together, there are 12 creatures and 5 elements of nature that often change.
Composition of the Tibetan Calendar
The animals usually alternate in the Tibetan calendar each year in the same order and the element after two. Such a set can last up to 60-year cycles, and these are the elements of which they are composed:
Tibetan calendar animals: snake, free, dragon, goat, horse, bird, monkey, pig, dog, rat, tiger and all.
Tibetan calendar elements: fire, earth, water, wood and iron.
The Tibetan calendar can create harmonies with the celestial forces, it is a tool that seeks to understand and heal people’s body and mind.
