The Medici Venus is a life-size Hellenistic sculpture in marble representing the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite. It is a 1st century BC marble copy of a Greek original in bronze, perhaps made in Athens on the model of the Aphrodite of Cnidus, which would have been made by a sculptor in the tradition of Praxiteles.
