Sculpture made of moulded marble (marble powder -80%- agglutinated with chronolite). The ageing patinas are applied with natural earths.

The original of the Venus of Arles is a sculpture of 1,94 m high, kept in the Louvre Museum. It dates from the end of the 1st century BC. It is probably a copy of Praxiteles’ Aphrodite of Thespias from the 2nd century AD.
