Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa (c. 63 BC – 12 BC) was an important politician and military commander of the Roman Empire. He was a close friend and commander-in-chief of Octavian Augustus. His efforts led to many successful military campaigns of Octavian Augustus, including the naval battle of Actium against Cleopatra and Mark Antony.
