The aging finish is achieved with patinas based on natural earth that give it the texture and appearance of a sculpture beautified by the passage of time.

Caesar Augustus was the first emperor of Rome, his rule extending from 27 B.C. to 14 A.D.
Octavian Augustus, Gaius Octavius or Octavian (63 B.C.–14 A.D.), was the first emperor of Rome. Octavian had been adopted by his great-uncle Julius Caesar, and after the latter’s assassination, he became his successor. He ruled as a triumvir alongside Lepidus and Mark Antony until the confrontation and defeat of the latter in the Battle of Actium (31 B.C.) alongside Cleopatra, after which he consolidated as the undisputed leader of Rome. In 27 B.C., he became the first emperor with the name Caesar Augustus, beginning an Empire that would last four centuries.
The reign of Caesar Augustus initiated a period of stability and prosperity known as the Pax Romana, which lasted about two hundred years. Augustus also promoted significant political and administrative reforms and left a lasting legacy, consolidating the structures of the Empire. After his death, he was deified and officially worshiped in temples throughout the empire. Subsequently, all the emperors who succeeded him adopted the title Caesar Augustus in his honor.
