It is an allegory on the myth of Judith and Holofernes, Judith I (1901), here the archetype of Gustav Klimt’s fatal woman is clearly reflected: Judith’s expression of ecstasy, with the head of her enemy in her hand, whom she has seduced to behead him, the ambiguity of his women: liberating, sensual force, and, at the same time, threat, fatal and mysterious woman.
