Title: Creation of the Sky and the Earth
Relief inspired by the Greenfield Papyrus, 21st Dynasty, Egypt. The goddess of the sky, Nut, was often depicted as a naked woman with her body arched like a celestial vault, covered with stars. Sometimes as a cow (Mehet-Urt) or on her husband Geb (Earth) and her father Shu (air and light) trying to separate them (graphic representation of the myth). Her limbs symbolise the four pillars on which the sky rests.
