Roman mosaics

We present this section of mosaics made with the same techniques as thousands of years ago. We make reproductions of Roman, Byzantine mosaics or mosaics inspired by historical, mythological or artistic themes in general.

The technique used is “opus teselarium”, a mosaic of cubic stone tesserae. We work with 5, 8 and 10 mm tesserae.

We make mosaics with polished faces for floors, as well as mosaics with an antique look for murals.

The materials used are natural stone tesserae and various marbles. For some special colours, glass paste and resins are used, just as they were used in ancient times.

The production times vary depending on the project. They can range from 4 to 8 weeks.
