Sir Edward Coley Burne Jones (1833 – 1898) was a British designer associated with the pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, producing some of the most delicious and beautiful works of art of the period.
Burne Jones was based on mythological themes as you can see in the cycle of the Perseus myth (1875) or Atlas transformed into stone. It also hosts allegorical themes and historical legends.
